WHOA! Nicki Minaj TOTALLY fired back at Miley Cyrus while accepting the Best Hip Hop Video award during the VMAs on Aug. 30. In response to the singer’s comments in a recent interview, Nicki held nothing back, even calling Miley a ‘b**ch’ before being cut off by producers.
The war is ON between Nicki Minaj, 32, and Miley Cyrus, 22. The rapper totally shaded the “Wrecking Ball” singer at the 2015 Video Music Awards, calling her out for a recent interview she did in the New York Post. But Miley totally defended her original comments about the rapper!
After giving her acceptance speech for the award, Nicki tossed back to the show host, but had fire in her eyes while she did. “Now, back to this b—-, that had a LOT to say about me the other day in the press,” the “Anaconda” singer spewed, with an angry look on her face. “Miley — what’s good?!” It took her a minute to form the statement, too, making it seem like she was considering whether or not to ‘go there.’
Miley seemed to be taken a little aback by the comment, but quickly responded, “We all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate sh–. Nicki, congratu-f—ing-lations.” After that, the camera cut back to Nicki, who seemed to still be trying to get her point across, pointing fingers at Miley and mouthing “b—-” yet again.
The whole thing started when Miley was asked to comment on Nicki’s Twitter rant against MTV about the VMA nominations. “You know what I always say? Not that this is jealous, but jealousy does the opposite of what you want it to — that’s a yoga mantra,” Miley said in the original New York Post interview. “People forget that the choices that they make and how they treat people in life affect you in a really big way. If you do things with an open heart and you come at things with love, you would be heart, and I would respect your statement. But I don’t respect your statement because of the anger that came with it.” She added, “What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, if you know Nicki Minaj, is not too kind. It’s not very polite.” Whoa!
The question, now is — was this real, or staged for the show?! Nicki seemed to smile right before the cameras cut away, and Miley was VERY quick to her response, leading many fans to speculate that the whole thing may have just been set up.
But while another feud may have began, Nicki totally squashed another one earlier in the show by performing with Taylor Swift, who she fought with on Twitter after the nominations were announced. The pair totally rocked the stage and proved they have absolutely NO “Bad Blood” between them anymore!
