There are domestic terrorists in America. They aren't Muslims, nor are they middle-eastern. They speak of intolerance and genocide. They claim divine superiority over other American citizens while provoking fear through violence. While our freedoms are precious, the named organizations abuse the privilege of freedom of speech and exploit the opportunity to spread divisive propaganda of hate. Their sole desire and intention is to eliminate non-white, non-protestant citizens. The Ku Klux Klan has been tolerated far too long. They openly encourage others to follow the example of a murderer. They have resorted to terrorizing black and non-protestant citizens through violent acts for 150 years. White Nationalists aka "Neo-Nazis" carry on the legacy of the world's most infamous, evil person, Adolf Hitler. While they don't make headlines, they are quietly working their way into our political system, altering laws in order to force their agenda through our government. They contribute money to political leaders in America to sway for favors. We will never get past our social, civil issues if we allow these hate groups to perpetuate and infiltrate our government, our cities, and our homes. Much like ISIS,these organizations use the internet to spread their ideology and indoctrinate our youth, as displayed in South Carolina last month. One white, Lutheran, American male killed 9 Americans in 2 minutes, on homeland soil. ISIS has killed 4 Americans in two years, on the other side of the world. Who is the real threat in America? Declaring these organizations as terrorists will discourage membership, activity, and the impact these groups have on innocent peoples lives. It will send a clear message that HATE and INTOLERANCE are not acceptable in America. We may have made terrible mistakes in our nations past but we are not condemned to repeat those travesties.
